Sofitel Mumbai BKC brings you the true spirit of the Maratha Warriors with two modern day specialists in the field and talented housewives, Mrs. Sugandha Polke and Mrs. Varsha Polke. We cordially invite you for the Grand opening of the ‘Great Maratha Warriors’ on 20th November 2015 at 7pm which includes a traditional folk dance performance of Lavani and a fascinating display of some powerful weaponry along with tasty Maharashtrian delicacies

The festival is on till 30th November 2015 for lunch and dinner. Enjoy the authentic recipes like Bharli Khari Vangi, Suke Chicken, Mutton Ukad, Bombil Chutney, Basundi and more at the Pondichéry Café.

Born and brought up in Alsunde Solapur, Chef Sugandha Polke lost her husband at an early age and learnt the traditional techniques of cooking vegetables like brinjal on the tree itself from her mother-in-law. From plating dishes at the RCF hostel in her early days to an excellent chef of the Being Marathi digital Channel, Chef Sugandha has done it all.

Spreading the love for food and educating people regarding the cuisine, Chef Varsha prefers learning the history and stories behind the home-cooked delicacies. This teacher and chef finds her forte in the sweet treats of the cuisine taught to her by her ancestors.

Sample and try out not only the cuisine but the culture these two modern day housewives stand for.
